Supervision is where your growth as a therapist truly takes root. It’s where theory meets practice — and where your confidence begins to flourish.

Supervision provides the structure, safety, and reflection that allow you to develop your voice and identity as a clinician — not just check boxes for licensure.

Why it matters?

Take the next step

Let’s connect and see if we’re a good fit.

I offer individual and dyadic supervision for MFT and LPCC licensure in Minnesota, with a trauma-informed and relational focus.

My Approach

I’m Danielle Cotter, MA LMFT PMH-C, a licensed marriage and family therapist and EMDR-trained clinician. I bring over a decade of experience in community mental health, trauma recovery, maternal mental health, and equine-assisted psychotherapy.

My supervision style is grounded, relational, and encouraging — rooted in both clinical rigor and compassion.

I believe supervision is a sacred space — one where you can grow not only as a clinician, but as a person.

What you'll gain from supervision

You’ll leave each session feeling more grounded, connected, and confident in your work.

Supervision can help you:

  • Strengthen your clinical skills and case conceptualization

  • Learn to navigate transference and countertransference

  • Build a trauma-informed, attachment-based lens

  • Develop confidence with EMDR, somatic, and experiential techniques

  • Create a sustainable career path that aligns with your values

  • Receive support for licensure requirements (LMFT and LPC/LPCC in Minnesota)

My Approach to Supervision

Supervision with me is reflective, experiential, and relationship-based.
I believe learning happens best in an environment of trust, curiosity, and collaboration — where it’s safe to explore uncertainty and celebrate growth.

I integrate:

  • Attachment-focused and trauma-informed frameworks to understand both client and therapist processes

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Somatic principles to foster self-awareness and embodiment

  • Relational and experiential methods to deepen clinical confidence and intuition

  • Mindfulness and self-compassion practices to help you sustain your work and wellbeing

Together, we’ll look at not only what’s happening with your clients, but also what’s happening within you as a therapist.

MFT Supervision

Grow with confidence, curiosity, and connection.

Starting your career as a therapist is both exciting and overwhelming. You’re learning how to be with clients, manage your emotions, and navigate systems — all while trying to trust your instincts.

Clinical supervision is more than just meeting requirements — it’s a space to develop your professional identity, deepen your clinical intuition, and feel supported as you grow into the therapist you’re becoming.
