Danielle Cotter,
MA, LMFT, PMH-C
Founder, Practice Owner and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Works with: Adults
Available: In-office and telehealth in Minnesota
For more than 15 years, Danielle has had the privilege of sitting with people through some of life’s hardest moments—trauma, anxiety, chronic stress, mood struggles, relationships, transitions, and the seasons when you are not quite sure how you arrived here or how to move forward.
Danielle believes healing happens in many ways and sometimes takes more than words. Her work blends EMDR, nervous system-informed therapy, body-based and experiential approaches, mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and relational exploration. Together, these approaches help clients understand their stories, listen to their bodies, process experiences that feel stuck, and reconnect with themselves more deeply.
Many of Danielle’s clients are carrying more than others realize. They may be navigating long-standing trauma, women’s or perinatal mental health concerns, burnout, recovery, caregiving, high-responsibility roles, relationship patterns, or the quiet exhaustion of always being the person who holds everything together.
Danielle’s role is not to fix you or tell you who to become. It is to walk alongside you as you make sense of your experiences, feel more grounded in your body, strengthen your connection with yourself and others, and create a life that feels more authentic and aligned.
Therapy with Danielle is warm, relational, compassionate, and collaborative. Sessions make space for difficult experiences while also recognizing your strengths, resilience, creativity, and the parts of you that may have been waiting to be understood again.
In addition to her clinical work, Danielle is the founder of C3+ Supervision Academy. She provides individual and group supervision, supervision retreats, consultation, and professional development for emerging therapists who want to become confident, thoughtful, connected clinicians.

Why a Group Practice?
The right therapeutic relationship matters. No single clinician can be the right fit for every person, age, concern, or season of life.
Growing C3 into a group practice allows us to bring together clinicians with different backgrounds, personalities, specialties, and perspectives while maintaining a shared commitment to compassionate, ethical, and whole-person care.
As our team grows, clients will have more opportunities to find a therapist whose experience and approach align with what they need. Clinicians will also have access to consultation, supervision, community, and professional development—creating a practice culture where providers feel supported in providing excellent care.
We believe supported therapists are better able to offer thoughtful, sustainable support to their clients.

C3 Mental Health
C3 Mental Health provides therapy for clients seeking support, healing, clarity, stronger relationships, and meaningful change.
Our clinicians offer collaborative care in a welcoming environment where clients can slow down, feel understood, and begin making sense of the experiences that have shaped them.
Two Branches. One Shared Mission.
Together, these branches reflect the full vision of C3: supporting healing in the present while developing the clinicians and care systems that will serve our communities in the future.
C3+ Supervision Academy
C3+ provides individual supervision, group supervision, supervision retreats, consultation, and professional development for emerging therapists.
The Academy is designed for clinicians who want more than completed hours. It helps therapists strengthen their clinical judgment, work through difficult cases, develop their professional identities, build community, and grow into confident, thoughtful, connected clinicians.
Individual Supervision
Personalized guidance centered on clinical work, licensure, professional identity, and the therapist’s unique learning needs.
Supervision Retreats
Immersive experiences that combine concentrated supervision, clinical education, reflection, community, and renewal.
As C3 Mental Health continues to grow, C3+ may also become a pathway into graduate internships and prelicensed therapist positions. Sustained participation gives emerging clinicians an opportunity to understand the C3 culture, develop their skills, and build authentic professional relationships with the practice.
Participation in C3+ does not guarantee an internship or job. Future opportunities depend on available positions, qualifications, academic and licensure requirements, credentialing, business needs, and mutual fit. Internship and employment opportunities use a separate application and selection process.
Developing the Next Generation of Therapists
You do not become a confident therapist simply by accumulating clinical hours. You become one by learning how to think, reflect, conceptualize, question, connect, receive feedback, and make thoughtful decisions in complex situations.

C3+ Supervision Academy creates space for that development through:
Individual Supervision
Personalized guidance centered on clinical work, licensure, professional identity, and the therapist’s unique learning needs.

Our Approach to Growth
Courage
Courage means gently turning toward experiences, emotions, patterns, or professional questions that feel difficult or uncertain. It means being honest about where we are so meaningful change can begin.
Connection
Healing and growth do not happen in isolation. They develop through safe relationships—with ourselves, our bodies, our providers, our colleagues, and the communities that walk beside us.
Creativity
There is no single pathway that works for every client or clinician. Creativity allows us to remain curious, explore new perspectives, integrate different forms of support, and develop approaches that fit the person in front of us.

Meet Our Founder
Danielle Cotter, MA, LMFT, PMH-C
Danielle founded C3 Mental Health after more than 15 years of working alongside people through trauma, anxiety, chronic stress, mood struggles, relationships, recovery, and major life transitions.
Her clinical approach is warm, relational, compassionate, and holistic. She specializes in EMDR and integrates nervous system-informed care, body-based and experiential approaches, mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, attachment, and insight-oriented work.
Throughout her career, Danielle has become increasingly passionate about supporting not only clients, but also the clinicians and systems responsible for providing mental health care. Her experience in clinical work, high-acuity settings, private practice, supervision, leadership, and program development shaped the vision for C3+ Supervision Academy and the expansion of C3 into a group practice.
Danielle’s goal is to build a practice where clients feel deeply seen, clinicians feel supported rather than isolated, and emerging therapists have opportunities to develop the judgment, confidence, and relationships they need to build sustainable careers
Growing Through Collaboration
We believe mental health care is stronger when providers communicate, collaborate, and recognize when another form of support may be helpful.

As C3 grows, we are developing relationships with aligned professionals and organizations that expand access to whole-person care. This includes our partnership with Mirabilis Health, an independent psychiatric practice providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management.

These relationships allow clients and clinicians to access additional support while preserving clear professional roles, privacy, choice, and continuity of care.

The C3 Vision
We are building more than a collection of services.
Our vision is to create a connected mental health community where:

-
Clients can find thoughtful care that fits their lives and values
-
Therapists can grow without having to develop in isolation
-
Interns and prelicensed clinicians can receive meaningful mentorship
-
Experienced professionals can continue learning and contributing
-
Partnerships make mental health support easier to understand and access
-
Courage, connection, and creativity shape both healing and leadership
C3 Mental Health will continue to grow thoughtfully—adding clinicians, services, training opportunities, and community partnerships while protecting the warmth, authenticity, and individualized care at the heart of the practice.
