Equine Assisted Psychotherapy
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) is a therapeutic approach that integrates horses into the treatment process to promote connection, emotional growth, personal development, and mental well-being. It combines traditional psychotherapy techniques with interactions between individuals and horses to facilitate healing and self-discovery.
Benefits of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy
The collaborative nature of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy encourages clients to actively participate in their healing process, promoting a sense of empowerment and personal agency. The presence of horses in therapy sessions creates a unique and therapeutic environment that can facilitate profound personal insights and promote lasting positive changes.

What to Expect
During Equine Assisted Psychotherapy sessions, we will work collaboratively in a safe environment. The focus is on establishing a relationship between you and the horse, which can serve as a powerful catalyst for personal growth and emotional exploration.

Horses are highly intuitive animals that can respond to human emotions and nonverbal cues. They offer immediate and (mostly) honest feedback, providing valuable insights into your emotional state and relational patterns.
The therapeutic activities involving horses often include
-
being present with the horse
-
grooming
-
leading
-
ground-based exercises
-
mounted work
