Equine Assisted Psychotherapy
I offer Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy, guided by the Natural Lifemanship® model, to help you process trauma, regulate your nervous system, and connect more deeply with your emotions through interactions with horses.
Most work happens on the ground, noticing thoughts, feelings, and body sensations as they arise—but mounted work is also an option for those who feel ready.
In our sessions, horses act as mirrors and gentle co-facilitators, helping you see patterns, practice new ways of relating, and strengthen your connection to yourself and others.
EAP is especially helpful for anyone navigating trauma, anxiety, stress, grief, or relational challenges, or for those who feel stuck in talk therapy alone. Through this experiential, body-based approach, you can cultivate resilience, self-compassion, and practical tools to move through life with more ease and balance.

Intensive Format
I offer equine-assisted psychotherapy (EAP) in 2–4 hour intensive sessions because healing sometimes needs more time, presence, and space than traditional therapy allows.
Trauma, stress, and burnout often live in the body, and the nervous system requires extended, experiential work to process and regulate deeply.
These intensives allow clients to:
-
Jumpstart therapy or make breakthroughs in ongoing work
-
Process trauma in a safe, guided, and somatic way
-
Develop mindfulness and stress regulation skills through connection with horses and nature
Seasonal Equine Therapy
Because sessions take place outdoors, Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy is offered seasonally from May through September. This seasonal rhythm allows the work to take place comfortably in nature, which is an important part of the therapeutic environment.
Appointments during the season are limited, and many clients choose to incorporate equine therapy into their regular therapy work during the summer months.
Insurance and Pricing
Equine-assisted psychotherapy intensives are extended 2–4 hour sessions designed to give you the time, space, and experiential support your nervous system may need for healing. Because of the extended format:
-
Insurance may cover one hour of the session when clinically appropriate.
-
The remaining time is private pay at $200 per hour.
