Therapeutic Writing

Therapeutic journaling is a powerful, compassionate way to connect with yourself and make sense of what you're feeling. It offers a safe space to express emotions without judgment, helping you untangle thoughts, process experiences, and uncover deeper self-awareness. Journaling can support healing, build emotional resilience, and reveal your inner wisdom—all while encouraging self-compassion and clarity on your path forward.

Therapeutic Writing Groups

Therapeutic writing groups offer a powerful space to heal, grow, and connect—both with yourself and others. In the quiet rhythm of writing and the brave act of sharing, something sacred unfolds: stories begin to soften, clarity emerges, and you're reminded that you’re not alone. With pen in hand and others beside you, healing becomes a shared journey—honest, creative, and deeply human.

Journaling 101

This gentle, welcoming class is designed for those new to therapeutic journaling or looking to deepen their practice. Over the course of six weeks, we’ll explore six different therapeutic journaling methods, with each class including guided instruction, time to write, space to share (optional), and a closing Q&A. You can join at any point in the series, as the topics rotate every six weeks. Come once or return as often as you'd like—each round offers new insights, fresh reflections, and continued support on your journey inward.

F.A.Q

Do I have to be a client of C3 Mental Health to attend?
Not at all! Our groups are open to everyone. And if you're already a client at C3, you're absolutely welcome, too.

Can I use insurance for the group?
We’re not able to accept insurance for these groups at this time.

How do I sign up?
Just click the link under the group you're interested in. If you run into any trouble or have questions, feel free to reach out anytime: danielle@c3mentalhealth.com — I'm happy to help!

What if I don’t want to share what I wrote?
That’s completely okay. Sharing is always optional. If you do choose to share, we hold space with kindness and without judgment. Everyone’s voice is respected, and there’s no critiquing—only listening with care.

Do I need to be a good writer or have writing experience to join?
Nope! You don’t need any writing experience at all. This space is about expression, not perfection. Come as you are—beginners are more than welcome.

Is this the same as group therapy?
Not exactly. While it can be deeply healing, this isn’t a therapy group focused on diagnosis or treatment. It’s a supportive, creative space where writing helps us explore, reflect, and grow together.

What materials will I need?
Just something to write with and something to write on. Nothing fancy! If any additional materials are needed for a specific group, you’ll get a heads-up with plenty of time to gather them—most are simple things you probably already have at home.

Is the group confidential?
Yes, absolutely. We take confidentiality seriously. Everyone agrees to respect each other’s privacy so that the group remains a safe and supportive place to share and connect.
